Hello Suvudu Universe! We've been so into the great posts you all have been sharing with the community, so now we'd like to offer you something super cool in return. Familiar with Brandon Sanderson? He's the author of the internationally bestselling Mistborn trilogy, and also was the chosen one to finish Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series.
Now, Brandon has a new series for young adults (though, frankly, we encourage folks of all ages to read it because it's That. Darned. Good. On Tuesday, September 24, Brandon's latest book, the first in the series, Steelheart, will be released out into the world.
The story: a fast-paced thrill ride that finds our world ruled by Epics, men and women who received superhuman powers in the Calamity. They could have been heroes; they chose instead to terrorize as crushing tyrants. Unbroken and willing to risk all, secretive Reckoners shadow the Epics to bring them down, one by one. Steelheart is the powerful Epic whose fierce rule has turned the city of Chicago to steel.Ten years ago, David watched Steelheart coldly kill his father — and he alone knows the seemingly invincible Epic’s weakness. But how can he get the Reckoners to trust and accept him, so he can avenge his father’s murder?
Sounds epic, no? So here's what we here at the Universe have come up with for you: the chance to have your question answered by Brandon. Send us your question (one per person, please!) via suvudu@tid.al and your loyal community managers will work with Brandon's book team to pick the five that Brandon will answer.* The authors of those five questions will each receive a brand-spanking-shiny-and-new copy of the book, signed by Brandon himself.
All questions must be submitted by 3PM EST on Monday, September 23, 2013.
Qs and As will be posted to the Universe on Monday, September 30, and will be credited to the interrogators responsible. But we'll let the five winners know they've been selected before then. So go for it: Dream up the best question you can and send it to us at suvudu@tid.al, by Monday at 3:00.
With thanks,
Kristin Fritz, Community Director
