Viral Hide over at StarWars7News.com noticed Chloë Grace Moretz was having her own Star Wars marathon, more aptly, of Episodes I-III. Maybe she’s going to do Episodes IV-VI later, you’ll have to ask her.
Probably not in Star Wars Episode VII.
Hide theorizes she might be prepping herself for Star Wars Episode VII because she states her day was “productive,” which insinuates her marathon was for a purpose other than leisure and entertainment.

I think it is interesting. My sense tells me not to jump to conclusions based on someone watching Star Wars. I just watched A New Hope and I can confirm I am not in the film. Well an offer hasn’t been made yet anyway. There could be an aspect of Natalie Portman’s performance she needs to study for another role, in another film, not Star Wars related whatsoever. Or at most, I would think she was studying the films for an audition perhaps, as I assume casting is occurring right now.
My personal opinion is she could be a good choice for this role:
Late-teen female, independent, good sense of humour, fit.
Which is probably the same as this role:
[YOUNG WOMAN] Late teens. Physically fit, raw energy, independent and with a great sense of humor.
On that front, there are not many actresses I know of that have done action and comedy together at her age and have proven they can excel in both. She is on the famous side of things, but she is not “huge” yet. I do not think she commands a huge amount of money and she has not exactly starred in a blockbuster summer film yet. The biggest film she has probably been in was Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows which is not altogether unlike Natalie Portman. In fact, her career in some ways is not altogether dissimilar to Portman’s. Both played young girls who became violent action heroes in The Professional and Kick Ass and both did Burton films with Mars Attacks and Dark Shadows. She is also starring in Carrie, which is a remake of the 1976 film of the same name that shared a casting call with Star Wars, but that’s just a fun fact if she is cast.
I’m not putting any money on this, understand that. I am simply covering this in case she is chosen, we have it documented that she did some research and Tweeted about it. As I’ve said before, I love this era of pre-season Star Wars before a new film. It is both nostalgic and freshly exciting at the same time. I would buy her as Mark Hamill’s daughter in a film too.
