For Spring, Christopher Kane’s womenswear collection took us to Botany Class. We covered it HERE. He has now graduated to Chemistry class for his FW 2014 Menswear. Everyone knows you have to take Biology before Chemistry. It looks like Kane has followed suit. Kane is of course one designer we have featured numerous times for his consistent scientific influence. This time he showed us molecules. The prints were fun and quirky. He literally took molecular structure to a less literal standpoint when he included ‘structure’ in his tailoring. The blazers were nicely tailored and the ‘over-sized’ jackets sported a wider sleeve. The only complaint we have is the ‘nerdy’ length of the trousers. They fell a little ‘short’ with us – literally. The ankle-length trouser is a trend we are noticing coming out of Paris, however. A trend that we can’t say we care that much about.

We can easily see the above blue molecule sweater being used in a Nylon Guys editorial.
