In just a few weeks San Diego will be invaded by comic book, sci-fi, fantasy, and supernatural loving fans for Comic Con International 2013. As you know Comic Con is no longer about just comic books but now include the best in TV and Movies of all kinds. We’ve been gathering Intel and now have a pretty much complete guide to the panels at this years Con. Last week we posted the full TV line-up and now we have a pretty complete look at which Movies are SDCC bound. Besides any “comic-book” films like Thor, Captain America, and SpiderMan 2 SDCC goers will also get panels from The Veronica Mars movie, Mortal Instruments, and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Wednesday, July 17
- You’re Next: A screening of the upcoming slasher from Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett and will followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers and star Sharni Vinson.
Thursday, July 18
- The Sidekick: 3 p.m., Hilton San Diego Bayfront’s Indigo Ballroom
The Sidekick, a “superhero” short film starring Rob Benedict(Supernatural), Ron Livingston and Lizzy Caplan, will screen, followed by a Q&A with director Michael J. Weithorn, Benedict, Caplan, Martin Starr, Josh Meyers, Richard Speight Jr., Jordan Peele, cinematographer Steve Lubensky and other special guests.
- Summit Entertainment Panel: 3:50p.m. – Hall H
Summit’s panel will feature footage from films: Divergent and Ender’s Game. The panel for Divergent, the adaptation ofVeronica Roth‘s popular sci-fi YA novel, w ill screen the very first footage from the film and include appearances by director Neil Burger and cast members Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Miles Teller, Maggie Q, Ansel Elgort, Mekhi Phifer, Ben Lamb, Ben Lloyd-Hughes andChristian Madsen. The Ender’s Game presentation will include new footage, and feature appearances by director Gavin Hood and cast members Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld andAbigail Breslin.
