Force Friday Galactic Madness

Welcome back to Courtney Cooks Star Wars, your blog for Star Wars recipe geekery.
Happy Halloween! Or, in the Star Wars Expanded Universe, Hallowe’en (yep, this holiday is really in the Legends Era EU).
Since the little ones will be out getting delicious sugary treats, the recipe for today will be an indulgence for the adults.
In Scoundrel’s Luck, a choose-your-own-adventure tale by Troy Denning, on the planet of Altor 4 a drink called an Altorian Milk-Ale was doled out. It’s an alcoholic beverage, so not for those little trick-or-treaters. This recipe was inspired by a recent trip to New Orleans, where I had a scrumptious dessert drink at the Bourbon House restaurant. I hope all my readers have a fun and safe Halloween…and don’t forget to dress up in your best Star Wars regalia!
Altorian Milk-Ale: Version 1
2 oz bourbon whiskey
3 oz half and half
1 tsp white sugar (preferably superfine)
¼ tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp grated nutmeg
Altorian Milk-Ale: Version 2
Here’s an alternative way to make this drink, great for hot summer days.
Use the same ingredients above, but add a couple of scoops of a good vanilla ice cream.
Place all ingredients in a blender with ice, combine until smooth. Sprinkle nutmeg on top and enjoy!
