There has been much talk about images released to Indie Revolver and other websites this past week. I have gone back and forth about whether I can try to remain spoiler free for my own personal enjoyment of Episode VII. I have come to the realization that there is just no way I will be able to avoid the spoilers, when I balance my self-control and my fandom I come to the conclusion that my self-control will fail.
In that vein I decided to take a closer look at the image reported to be of the Episode VII villain and the image released of a robotic hand by Bad Robot’s Twitter feed. The color and finger segment designs seem to be a near perfect match.
The tradition of physically damaged villains in Star Wars and makes sense in terms of the corrupting and devouring nature of the Dark Side and the emotions that feed into it.
