Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

DISCLAIMER: The following review is based on my personal experiences and opinion. I downloaded Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn 14 day free trial. It does not reflect the brand or developers of this game. Thank you.

My first Final Fantasy game was Final Fantasy 8. I remember spending hours on missions, emerged in the story of Squall Lionhart. This game started my love for the Final Fantasy series, as well as RPG and MMORPG games.

The best part of many RPG and MMORPG games is the opportunity to create your own character and story. You can write your own story, missions, and goals. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn gives you that opportunity. This game gives you leg room to choose your own adventure. You can create your own character, race/class, birthday, homeland, and gear.

SYNOPSIS:

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is the story of an adventurer who is seeking fortune or fame, the story varies based on your chosen homeland and class. Hydaelyn is a vibrant planet blessed by the light of the crystal.

My character Kris Farie is an Elezen adventurer who believes in the wisdom of love. She traveled to Limsa Lomisa seeking fortune. She wield an Axe as her weapon of choice.

PROS: The graphics look beautiful, the storyline is engaging, and it is community based- which is an awesome way to meet new people.

CONS: If you are not a hardcore PC gamer like myself, the controls and camera angles are a bit tricky. So, be patient while learning the controls.

RECOMMENDATIONS: I would recommend Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn to Final Fantasy fans, and players who want to learn about the world of Final Fantasy.

RATING: 4.5 out of 5
