I recently did a write-up about an indie turn-based tactical/strategy game that was being crowd-funded called “Storm the Gates.” The game, designed by Rebel Entertainment, was trying to combine tactical combat elements with a collectible-card system, all while presenting an experience that could be played through a web-browser. However, the game only reached $6,346 of its $400,000 goal on Kickstarter and the company announced that they were turning off the switch on the game for now.
However, Rebel Entertainment did have this to say in their final post about the game on October 29: “There is still a potential silver lining for the product as we have been approached by publishers and are actively exploring opportunities for release.”
It looks like it might be a while for this game to see the light of day, but in the meantime you can take a look at a somewhat early build here and see what you think!
