When the Herod disease takes over the world, parents fight to give their children life by all means necessary. One of the best books I read this year.

The book follows several families -a husband and wife and their two children, a single mom with a son, and a pediatrician. Children need blood to stay alive, but a pint gets only them an hour so blood, and becomes limited. People are starting to look like junkies.

This novel is a master idea of vampires meets Children of the Corn. If you want some page turning greatness then get your quiver on with "Suffer the Children".
