Iconic Poster Artist Drew Struzan Could Return for Star Wars: Episode VII?

Just because Star Wars: Episode VII has finally started filming, doesn't mean the rumors haven't stopped coming.  Today's report doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the film itself, but it's something that fans are sure to be excited about.  The renowned poster artist Drew Struzan, who created all of the memorable posters for Star Wars, Harry Potter, and several others, may be coming out of retirement to do the Episode VII poster!

Let's get right down too it, because if this turns out to be true, it's damn exciting.  According to the Schmoes Know, who have a source close to Drew (supposedly), claim that:

"None other than JJ Abrams has contacted him to come OUT OF RETIREMENT to do the poster art for Star Wars Episode VII...And Drew has agreed to return!"

This would be incredible and would make a lot of sense.  Abrams has been doing everything in his power to connect these films to the original trilogy and recapturing that magic.  He's brought back the cast and even John Williams to do the score, so why not the poster artist?

While the man is retired, let's face it, he's an artist and still doing stuff.  In fact he just did a How to Train Your Dragon art print to be sold exclusively at SDCC.  It's not like Struzan is opposed to continuing to work and produce art pieces, which means it's fully plausible that he'd be willing to coming back for Episode VII and blow us all away once more.  The Schmoes sources have revealed to them that the deal is already done, but since the poster is all apart of marketing, it's likely we won't hear any confirmation (yes or no) until much later on.

Honestly, I'm willing to believe this one.  Abrams has made it well known his love for Star Wars and has done a good job so far of assembling a powerful team with original trilogy ties to make this new movie.  At the very least, I could see Abrams asking Struzan to return, and have no doubts that he did.  The real rumor part of this lies in whether or not Struzan said yes.

What do you guys think of this rumor?  I for one would be more than happy to see another Struzan Star Wars poster, and am crossing my fingers that this turns out to be on the level.  Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments below and vote!
