Kickstart The 2nd Shift by Scott Lost

crowd funding, suvudu

T2s3 Comic Book creator Scott Lost reached out to me over Twitter to ask me if I could support his most recent Kickstarter campaign for his series The 2nd Shift. It occurs to me as Scott is a former professional wrestler if I don’t support the Kickstarter I may be subject to a suplex or piledriver. On the other hand the comic series has a very cool premise so I probably should support it on merit alone.

SYNOPSIS

“Imagine you had a dead end job that you were held highly accountable for. Were an overachieving college student or had trouble even keeping a job all, all while trying to start out as promising superheroes. A group of young heroes must deal with the mundane in order to experience the extraordinary, all on their 2nd Shift.

Our story takes place in San Diego, CA where an eclectic group of 4 inexperienced heroes tackle everything their daily lives throw at them, while burning the midnight oil fighting crime and solving mysteries…all out of their 3 bedroom apartment and beat up minivan.

An immature Filipino hero deals with his overbearing big sister, who criticizes his every move in the field as well as at home. He escapes into a world of comic books, pro wrestling and his highly over active imagination.

The highly disciplined and fierce martial artist excels in the field yet struggles with keeping her brother from goofing off and staying gainfully employed.

A hyper intelligent and motivated collegian (gifted with the ability of flight) is often too smart for her own good and on one occasion, LITERALLY finds herself floating off in between classes while analyzing the latest mystery from the newspaper.

The leader of the heroes has to shoulder the responsibility for putting them into dangerous situations. He battles his shaky self confidence in the field and has to keep things at the local amusement park, FishWorld, running smoothly.”

Check out Scott’s Kickstarter video and if you agree that The 2nd Shift sounds like a fun book to read, throw a few bucks his way.
