Lego Minecraft release new sets for 2013 - shut up and take my money!

news

I adore Minecraft because it's like virtual Lego, and I adore Lego because it's a real life Minecraft.

When they put the two together in 2012 I went out and got the Lego Minecraft set straight away, and then I followed it up by recreating the Lego Minecraft set - in Minecraft.

Lego Minecraft recreated in Minecraft
Yup - I created every block using the instructions from the Lego Minecraft set. I had that much free time.

Shut up and take my money gif So I'm a fan - this much is true.

Today I found out that two new Lego Minecraft sets are to be unveiled at today's San Diego Comic Con (SDCC), and will feature two new environments - The Village and The Nether, which should be released on September 1st and cost about $35 (chances are it'll be £35 in the UK when it gets here too).

From the looks of the photos that have been released, you should be able to connect these new sets to the existing Lego Minecraft set, making for a completely customisable world in Lego.

Next up I want to see a Lego Ender Dragon - now that would be something special.
