Michael B. Jordan Confirms He Auditioned For Star Wars: Episode VII

The actors and actresses in Hollywood are starting be a little less coy about Star Wars: Episode VII. First it was Saoirse Ronan confirming that she auditioned for a role in the film and pulled a lightsaber out of a bag.

Now actor Michael B. Jordan has revealed that he auditioned for a role in Episode VII.  Jordan who starred in the Friday Night Lights as quarterback Vince Howard is a hot actor in Hollywood right now based on the buzz from Fruitvale Station and is rumored to be attached to a Rocky spin-off film, the Fantastic Four reboot and even the sequels to Independence Day.

Jordan also was one of the stars in Lucasfilm’s Red Tails, playing pilot Maurice Wilson.

The Associated Press had the following from Jordan regarding Episode VII;

Finally, there’s “Star Wars: Episode 7,” to be directed by J.J. Abrams. Jordan, who met George Lucas through “Red Tails,” says he auditioned for an unspecified part but didn’t wield a lightsaber.

“I mean, everybody’s going in on this project. They’re trying to figure out what they want,” he said. “That’s another incredible franchise. It’s pretty crazy! … We’ll see how it happens. I don’t know how I can do everything.”
