Autumn is my favorite season for many reasons; the weather's perfect, I get to wear cozy sweaters and boots, and most importantly, I get snuggle up in front of the tele and tune into the silver screen's finest. That being said, fall 2013 promises to be one of the most geektastic for TV. Just thinking about gets me all riled up! So without further adieu, check out my dossier for the must see TV for the upcoming autumn season.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D

Debut Date: Sept. 24th

The 411: Taking the epic continuity of the Marvel cinematic universe to the small screen, Joss Whedon delivers with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Admittedly I had my doubts about the show, but it does an incredible job of addressing the world in the wake of the New York incident in the Avengers film and showing just how serious the organization is on keeping the world in one piece. A very unlikely band of non-super-powered heroes are hand-picked by Coulson to get the job done. Plus, Clark Greg (Phil Coulson) is always a pleasure to see on the screen. #CoulsonLives

You Should Watch This If: You've got a thing for Marvel supes, love ensemble cast and are easily dazzled by cool tech. No, seriously, the gizmos and gadgets of this show is a highlight to remember!

American Horror Story:Coven

Debut Date: Oct 9th

The 411: This season's AHS will focus on witches! Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, and Angela Bassett will run a school for witches. There's not a lot of details out about the show, but we do know that it'll focus on the actual crafts of voodoo versus witchcraft, and the roots of both. Obviously the Salem Witch Trials will be referenced here as well as Voodoo's presence in slavery. This is probably the show I'm anticipating the most. The cast is perfection, and it's witches done the AHS way. Consider me spell-bound.

You Should Watch This If: The Craft and Hocus Pocus are your faves. If you're a fan of occult horror and relish the joys of a good ol' fashioned shade-fest, because lets face it, where there's two or three witches, there's bound to be one or two b***hes. Yes, I did just make that up.

Sleepy Hollow

Debut Date: Sept. 16th

The 411: Now, I'm no fan of the classic tale, but like AHS's Coven there's an occult spin to the series that's just too damn good to pass up. In an attempt to keep this spoiler free, let's just say there's a gamut of witches, demons, a blast from the past Ichabod Crane, flashbacks of The Revolutionary War and a puzzle centering around The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse. After watching the first episode, I am definitely hooked. Also, The Headless Horseman's knack for gunning down innocent officers with massive machine guns is kinda genius.

You Should Watch This If: You are obsessed with Halloween, have an affinity for scaring random passer-byes and have the stomach for endless gore.

The Walking Dead Season 4

Debut Date: Oct 14th

The 411: Following the attack on the prison lead by The Governor, this season promises to be one of one of the of most highly anticipated returns for the fall. Zombies are now finding their way into the prison, The Governor still appears to be a threat, and lastly there seems to be a traitor amongst the group!

You Should Watch This If: You think Norman Reedus is equal parts heartthrob and hero, have an affinity for dystopian settings, and don't mind loosing your voice due to your excessive screaming at the TV.

ARROW.jpg

Arrow Season 2

Debute Date: Oct 9th (Ummm My DVR is gonna explode on the 9th)

The 411: Stephen Amell *fans self* returns as the rogue green archer in the wake of an explosive finale, leaving Star City in slight ruins. There's not a ton of details on what we should expect this season, but the Flash cameo is happening, and a lot of characters are suffering from the consequences of their actions from the season 1 finale. And we may just see Roy Harper (Colton Haynes *pulls out another fan*) in a more significant role.

You Should Watch This If: You watch your guilty pleasures with a pint of Ben&Jerry's, love a good anti-hero and kick ass with Green Arrow in DC's Injustice game. Oh, and let's not forget the bounty of shirtless scenes.
