It's that time again - the joyful madness that is New York Comic Con. God knows we love it, but it can be a little trying to get through the weekend in one piece. So we want your best tips on how to survive the con mostly unscathed - what to eat, what to wear, how to avoid crowds, how to get into the most in-demand panels, how to avoid con crud, and more. And the winner will get a Suvudu totebag packed with books! Intrigued? Inspired? Read on for the full rules, and then click here to view other entries and submit your own!

To enter a contest in the Suvudu Universe, you'll first need a contributor account if you don't already have one. Entering the contest is as simple as logging into your Contributor Dashboard and submitting a post tagged 'nycc survival.' Your post must be your own original writing and/or photography. You can write about strategies, products, or any general tips you have for making it through a con in one piece. Once your post is up, get your friends and followers to vote on it. Only one vote per person/per email address/per day will be counted towards your final tally (duplicate votes will be disqualified). The vote standings on this page only update about once an hour. Submissions and voting are open through 10/16. Universe editors will then make the final decision about the winner by 10/20. We are looking for originality, quality writing, and poignancy/humor. Our decision will incorporate the results of the public vote. Finally, make sure to read the official rules below. All entries will be reviewed to ensure all official rules have been followed before a winner is selected.

HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Enter by submitting a post with your best tips on the Suvudu Universe tagged with "nycc survival" and containing the tracking pixel code in the submission form. Submissions must be received before 12:00 AM Midnight (ET) October 16th, 2014. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON.
