Viz Media has released a trailer for the upcoming simulcast debut of Sailor Moon Crystal. Actually, they’ve released two. Here’s the first:

Both are making it clear to me that I’m not the target audience, since I found myself laughing at the exaggerated tentacle hair and cringing at all the girl voice yelling. Also, particularly in the second, the choir music is over the top.
It is pretty neat that they’re running the show simultaneously in North America and Japan, though. The first episode (all are subtitled) will air on July 5, with future new installments on the first and third Saturday of each month. Sailor Moon Crystal is a reboot of the well-known property. In the meantime, you can watch the original, now running.
