Speaking to SkyNews recently, Irish actress Saoirse Ronan confirmed rumors about her possible audition for Star Wars: Episode VII.

The 19-year-old Irish actress, whose new film How I Live Now opens this week, has confirmed rumours that she has auditioned for a role – before modestly adding “so has everyone”.

Latino Review first spoke about Ronan almost two weeks ago, along with their rumors of filming for Episode VII  taking place in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Today Latino Review is standing by their New Mexico claims despite a denial by the Albuquerque Journal last week, and also bringing us new casting rumors:

Being that it’s October 1st, I figured I give you guys a heads up on some Star Wars: Episode VII tidbit on who else has went in to read for the upcoming sequel. This bit of information was confirmed via reps and other solid sources, so any denials would be nothing more than a smokescreen.

As for what part it’s for? I have no idea. You see, Lucasfilms/Disney and J.J. Abrams are keeping everything tight lipped ever since stuff has leaked out.

The guy that went in for a read is…

SULLIVAN STAPLETON

Sullivan is an Australian actor currently seen in Cinemax series Strike Back and will be starring in the upcoming 300: Rise of an Empire.

The confirmation of Ronan’s audition for Episode VII bodes well for Latino Review’s new and past casting scoops. Still, when a site claims any denials of their rumors are nothing but a “smokescreen”, I can’t help but cringe. Either way, we hope to hear a lot more from them in the coming months.
