Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 6 DVD/Blu-ray Rumor

According to The Digital Bits, an announcement of the sixth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars on DVD and Blu-ray may be coming in about three weeks. The article states, “This should be considered unofficial, but word from retail sources is that Disney (in about three weeks time) is going to announce Star Wars: The Clone Wars – The Lost Missions for Blu-ray and DVD release before the end of the year.” In three weeks’ time, New York Comic Con will be in full swing, so maybe we’ll get the announcement at the east coast’s biggest convention? We’ll have to wait and see.

Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir Fan-Made Audio/Motion Comic

In the latest attempt to bring Star Wars: The Clone Wars back to life, a group of talented amateur voice actors joined together to record an audio version of the Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir 4-part comic book series. The results are most impressive!

Star Wars Rebels Clothing Coming to Her Universe

In about three weeks, Her Universe will debut new Star Wars designs just in time for the series premiere of Star Wars Rebels in early October. Ashley also added in a tweet that more Rebels designs will be coming next year at Star Wars Celebration. With current clothing and merchandise excluding one or both females of the upcoming series, I can’t wait to see what Ashley and the team at Her Universe have designed for the fangirl community!

Star Wars Rebels Books and Merchandise

The Wolfpack Podcast discovered a Star Wars Rebels poster, featuring the Inquisitor and the troops of the Empire, at Michael Arts and Crafts store for as low as $5. Michaels is North America’s largest specialty retailer of arts, crafts, framing, home décor & seasonal products for hobbyists and do-it-yourself decorators. Since I have to make a run to Michaels and buy more felt fabric for my Tooka dolls, I’ll definitely be on the lookout for this poster and any others that may be around.

The Wolfpack Podcast also found this set of life size cardboard cutouts of the Star Wars Rebels characters on Amazon and eBay (Sabine Wren, Zeb Orrelios, Chopper, Ezra Bridger, Hera Syndulla, Kanan Jarrus, Inquisitor, Stormtrooper, and Ezra and Chopper).

Jedi-Bibliothek pointed the way to the latest book covers of Star Wars Rebels: Rogue Heroes, Posters-A-Page and the third installment in the Servants of the Empire junior novel series. The former contains 9 supersize posters, and it will be released on September 30, 2014. The novel is part of a four-part series with a debut date of July 7, 2015.

Star Wars Reads Day at Books of Wonder

Authors Tony DiTerlizzi, Pablo Hidalgo, Michael Kogge, and Tom Angleberger will sign at Books of Wonder on Saturday, October 11, from 4:00 – 6:00pm for Star Wars Reads Day! This could explain why the Star Wars Rebels panel, originally assigned at 5:45pm on October 11, was pulled from the schedule. Here’s hoping we get an update about that panel and stay tuned for more information!

Star Wars Rebels Episode Descriptions

Friends from Germany bring us the latest episode descriptions from Star Wars Rebels. Beware of spoilery content below!

Episode 105: Rise of the Old Masters (via Star Wars Union)

The Rebels learn that old Jedi Master Luminara Unduli is being held captive in the Stygeon system. They get to her only to realize that they have fallen into a trap set by the Inquisitor, but working together they manage to escape by the skin of their teeth.

Episode 106: Breaking Ranks (via Rebel Transmission)

The Rebels send Ezra (going by an alias) on an undercover mission into the Imperial Academy to steal a decoder. There, the boy meets two new friends, Zare and Jai, who, too, are among the best cadets. When Ezra learns that the Emperor wants to have the best cadets brought to him, he attempts to escape from the Academy with them. When they have almost made it, Zare decides to remain behind in the Academy because that was his only opportunity to find his missing sister again.
