Lizzy, the daughter of cosplay experts Liz and Sal Perales of Rogue Rebels, was announced as Fangirl of the Day on Saturday, September 6. She currently cosplays as Hera Syndulla from Star Wars Rebels, as seen in her character card. Not only is she a Star Wars costumer, but she’s also an avid video game player. Congratulations and keep being the awesome person you are, Lizzy!

Daniel Logan and More Boba Fetts at Cincinnati Comic Expo 2014

Dickey Beer, Daniel Logan and John Morton will be present at this year’s Cincinnati Comic Expo. Held at the Duke Energy Convention Center on September 19-21, the actors will have a Boba Fett reunion. As explained by John “Dak” Morton on Twitter, “Jeremy [Bulloch] is Big Boba. Daniel: Young Boba. Dak: Bespin Boba. Dickey: Stunt Boba.” If you’re in the Cincinnati area, make sure to check out the convention and support our favorite Boba Fetts.

Design Your Own Stormtrooper Helmet

Disney XD Australia has a fun and creative contest currently open for Star Wars Rebels fans. Australian residents can submit a stormtrooper design for a chance to win a Star Wars Rebels prize pack, including an iPad Air. The top 10 designs with the most votes goes home with the win. To be eligible to enter the Disney’s Star Wars Rebels: Design a Stormtrooper Helmet competition, you must first register to participate and live in Australia. The contest ends on Sunday, September 28, and the winners will be announced during the premiere of Star Wars Rebels on Friday, October 3.

Blue Zoo, an independent and BAFTA award winning animation studio based in central London, created LEGO Star Wars Rebels animations previously mentioned in the last roundup of news. The studio specializes in crafting animation for advertisements, branding, and broadcasting.

Vanessa Marshall Narrates An Excerpt From Star Wars: A New Dawn

If you didn’t catch it last week, the voice of Hera Syndulla, Vanessa Marshall, recorded an excerpt from John Jackson Miller’s new novel, Star Wars: A New Dawn. Coordinated and recorded by RebelForce Radio’s Jimmy Mac, the excerpt is made of pure awesome. Jimmy Mac also did a recording with James Arnold Taylor for Miller’s Kenobi.

When official merchandise doesn’t offer the fanbase what they want, the fanbase goes out and creates their own. Rebels Report found a Sabine Wren t-shirt featured at TeePublic. Designed by MariaBelenIB, the shirt is $14 USD and mostly comes in dark colors.

Rebel Transmission also found fan-made t-shirts of Hera and Sabine designed by Twitter user Mathildefrench.

Justin LaSalata of Jedi News pointed out that the Disney XD website for Star Wars Rebels has a brand new section known as the Rebel Resistance Kit. The section includes bookmarks, stickers, wanted posters, and a variety of other fun projects.

Two Star Wars Rebels Episode Descriptions

Rebel Transmission and Star Wars Union shared the episode descriptions for “Droids in Distress” (episode 104) and “Fighter Flight” (episode 105), the first two episodes of the series beginning Monday, October 13. The one-hour movie special contains episodes 102 and 103, entitled Star Wars Rebels: Spark of the Rebellion, premiering on Friday, October 3. Episode 101 is made up of the four character shorts that feature the main protagonists of the series.
