Dominic Jones over at Star Wars Underworld is hearing New Mexico is a shooting location for Star Wars Episode VII, with a production office opening  in January:

An inside source has confirmed to us that shooting for Star Wars Episode VII will taking place in various locations across New Mexico.  This has long been rumored but our source has confirmed to us that Disney has signed a three year deal to shoot the film in New Mexico and will be opening up a production office there in January.

It is interesting that the rumors have returned for New Mexico locations. While the rumor does state that Disney has a deal for three years of filming out there, it might not necessarily mean it is for Star Wars Episode VII, VIII, and IX. It could just be for other productions, but then again, it does fit with the sequel trilogy’s timeline to an extent.

Thanks to Star Wars Underworld for sharing what they’ve heard.
