Concept Art by Andre Kirk
A few months ago I posited a theory that the crew of the starship Ghost may in fact be pirates. This theory was based on some concept artwork for the show that was leaked showing the Ghost attacking another ship which did not appear to be an Imperial military vessel. This concept artwork by Andre Kirk was featured prominently in Star Wars Insider #146 in an interview with Star Wars Rebels executive producer Greg Weisman.
The caption for the artwork in the interview is rather revealing.
Why is the crew of the Ghost “raiding” a cargo ship? It could be for a noble cause like disrupting the Imperial military-industrial complex, or it could be for Hondo Ohnaka’s primary motive, profit.
