The Wolf
At the Star Wars Rebels panel at New York Comic Con (NYCC) Pablo Hidalgo host of the panel suggested that when asked about the main ship in Star Wars Rebels that there was “more to the Ghost than we have seen.”
One of surprises that the Ghost is packing is an aft mounted fighter craft that docks with and while docked appears to be part of the ship itself.
Check out this high-quality concept art shot of the Ghost from Hothbricks.com:

The caption reads: “PLEASE NOTE: Ship shown with fighter docked. Plese see ‘Ghost Ext (?)’ for additional notes about how the fighter connects to ship and details of the docking area.
What is this fighter?
It appears the fighter that docks with the Ghost is called the Wolf. Evidence of the Wolf can be seen in the behind the scenes video “Star Wars Rebels: The Empire Returns” released on StarWars.com.
Below are some screen captures showing the Wolfe and the empty docking socket in the Ghost.

It seems likely to me that the Wolf is a a fighter craft that is not hyperspace capable, but judging by the size of the guns under its nose it packs a serious punch. Is the name of the ship another way of executive producer Dave Filoni sneaking his love of the animal into the show? Or could the Wolf and the Ghost give us a clue as to who may be piloting or crewing the vessels?
Could the leader of the Wolfpack, CC-3535 Clone Commander Wolffe be involved?
