I've always wondered about living in a video game. Literally, living in a game as myself, but a custom version of myself. If I could just spend the rest of my life in one video, it has to be Final Fantasy VIII. The adventure, atmosphere, and battling robots. Plus, Final Fantasy VIII was the first final fantasy game I ever played on the first playstation.

I grew up as a nintendo fan (my father bought the original nintendo station when I was 2 years old). As time passed, I transitioned into the Sony era, and that's when the first playstation came into my life at 13 years old. As you can see, all this talk of video games and life in the digital world, leads up to one of my favorite animes: Sword Art Online

SYNOPSIS: Sword Art Online follows the life and adventures of Kirito, one of the 1,000 beta testers in the Virtual Reality RPG (Role-Playing Game) Sword Art Online. He becomes stuck in the virtual world by the Game Creator, along with many other Sword Art Online players. The only way to free himself from SOA, is to clear 100 floors and defeat the final boss. If anyone attempts to remove their Nerve Gear, their brain will heat up like a microwave, and die in the real world.

After the death of Diabel, a fellow SOA beta tester and leader of the first raid group, other players of the raid, start to noticed that he is more advanced. He knew about Illfang the Kobold Lord's attacks, but failed to protect Diabel. Players gave him the nickname "beater"; as in beta tester and cheater.

PROS: I love this anime. The story and setting is simply amazing. My favorite character is definitely Asuna. She is strong, smart, and tactical. The complete opposite of the typical girl gamer stereotypes.

CONS: I did not experience any cons or negative side effects

RECOMMENDATIONS: I would recommend Sword Art Online to everyone. If you are a fan of video games or fantasy, this is definitely the anime to check out.
