Yesterday I got to thinking about the fighting style we may see in Episode VII. Would be it more like Episodes I-III or would it be toned down and less intense like Episodes IV-VI? Would Luke have finally caught up with his father’s intensity? So I took to Twitter:
@MakingStarWars. I'd say that was very very unlikely.

That really is too bad. Nick Gillard brought so much to Star Wars I-III. I hope if we get any spin-off films set in the prequel era, they give Mr. Gillard a call, to say the least. He made Darth Maul, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, Count Dooku, and Darth Sidious into epic duelists in action sequences that made the prequels unforgettable.
I feel sorry for the poor sap who has to try and fill Nick Gillard’s shoes! But I wish them luck and I look forward to seeing what Nick Gillard does next.
I for one will always appreciate his contributions to the Star Wars saga.
