Star Wars Rebels “Vision of Hope” Previews

“Vision of Hope” will premiere Monday, February 2, on Disney XD at 9PM EST. Two preview clips were released to gear up for the new episode, one of which refers back to a name mentioned in Spark of Rebellion.

For those who thought Agent Kallus believed that Ezra’s real name was Jabba, Tracy Cannobbio shared the real answer on Twitter, “Bravo to those who said Kallus was being sarcastic with ‘Padawan Jabba.’ I asked Dave Filoni & he said Kallus is just messing with him.”

Lando Calrissian and Star Wars Rebels

Fans recently watched the return of Lando Calrissian in the popular Disney XD animated series Star Wars Rebels. In the episode “Idiot’s Array”, the character gave the impression that he and the crew would meet again in the future, and it appears that it might, in fact, happen.

According to the latest Billy Dee Williams interview with Jordan Maison, the editor-in-chief of Cinelinx, Williams has been working with the series for about a year or so. When asked whether the audience will see him again, he said, “Yeah! There’s more adventures with Lando coming up . . . They keep calling me up to do Lando, and I love Lando, so I don’t mind! [Note that this comment is in regards to OTHER voice-work he’s done for the character and not just Rebels] As long as the fans keep responding to it in a positive way, they’ll keep bringing [Lando] back . . .”

Jordan’s full interview with Billy Dee will be coming out soon.

Star Wars Rebels‘ Second Season Twice as Long?

The first season of Star Wars Rebels has a total of 16 episodes (13, if you exclude the character shorts and Spark of Rebellion), but what about the second season? According to a recent tweet from actor Freddie Prinze, Jr., the second season may be twice as long. Star Wars: The Clone Wars had 22 episodes for the first four seasons, leading us to believe that Rebels may start doing the same. If we take it literally with the first season at 13 episodes, it’ll be 26 episodes long. Other Disney XD animated shows, such as Ultimate Spider-Man and Avengers Assemble, also run on 26 episodes per season. No official word has been released to either confirm or deny the comment.

#StarWarsRebels I cant wait for season 2 to start for you guys. We recorded nearly twice as many episodes. You guys are gonna love it!

Yodasnews.com Interview with Freddie Prinze, Jr.

Yodasnews.com recently caught up with Freddie Prinze, Jr., about his role as Kanan Jarrus in Star Wars Rebels  and some details concerning the second season.

“At the end of season one Kanan will know what it means to be a Jedi. The selflessness necessary to be considered a master,” he said, before revealing that Kanan survives to live another day in the second season. Many fans assume things won’t end well for him and Ezra, so the conversation with Yodasnews.com brought about a relieved sigh. “Season 2 he learns how to let go. You’ll learn his pain, in detail, in a scene Dave and I recorded in private. Kanan breaks down and gives you everything you’ve been wondering.”

When asked about Hera and Kanan’s relationship, he said, “Hera and Kanan explain/discuss their past more than display it. It’s wartime in our story and kids, as they do in life, slow down the physical displays of affection. In season 2 certainly learn more about them, but pay attention to how Hera works Kanan and you’ll learn a lot more.”
