Okay, listen up my darlings. I know a lot of you immediately shake your head when I suggest a shifter paranormal romance, but this one will change your mind – seriously. Releasing today is DRAGON HER BACK, book three in the Las Vegas Dragons series by Susannah Scott, and my darlings, this book rocks it big time. It’s action, it’s romance, it’s sexy, it speaks socially, it’s edge of the seat exciting, and it’s DRAGONS!

Blurb for DRAGON HER BACK:

How To Claim Your Dragon...

As the head of security of Vegas's Crown Jewel casino―and its hidden dragonshifter sanctuary―ice dragon Darius Dachien commands respect. Unfortunately, that respect isn't always reciprocated. In fact, when it comes to the stunning Mei Chen, hostility might be a better word. Which makes things even harder for Darius, since Mei is his dragon mate. Without her, his dragon form is fading fast... and once lost, will be gone forever.

Mei can't deny the fierce chemistry that simmers between them. If Darius were ever to discover who―or rather, what―she really is, she wouldn't just lose him, but her place with the dragonshifters. The moment Mei's past comes crashing into her present, she realizes her time for secrets has ended. Now she must reveal her true self... and risk both her life and her heart with the one man who could destroy her.

A Short Excerpt: (I know, I don’t normally do excerpts, but some of you may be skeptical about dragonshifters so I want you to have a taste.)

“Best workout ever.” Darius sat next to her and rested his back against the soft mat.

She laughed and fumbled to put on her bra. He lifted the weight of her hair from her back and helped her pull down her silk shirt.

For a moment, he held the length of her hair in his hand as he had the swing rope. He tugged gently to turn her face to his, and then released it. His face was open and relaxed, his pale blue eyes warm and content.

His knees fell open to rest against hers. The feel of skin on skin, bone to bone, was easy, the most natural thing in the world. “Next time we should try the pommel horse.”

Mei laughed. “You still got pommeling on your mind?”

“Oh yeah.”

Mei Chen has a secret and when she receives a fax from a strange dragon faction, she fears her secret is about to be revealed and her life will be on the line if the truth comes out. Even worse, the life of her true dragon mate will be on the line too because of their relationship. Secrets can kill and Darius has no idea how dangerous the man from her past is and how nothing will stop him from getting what he wants - namely, her.

Darius Dachien has a lot on his mind, and between his normal security duties and the upcoming Snow Moon Gala things are busy enough, but his waning dragon is making his daily routine far worse. If only Mei would admit to being his dragon mate, all would be well. She wears his dragon mark on her hand and everyone knows it, but she pretends he doesn’t exist. Only he does exist and he knows she wants him.

When Darius learns the truth about Mei, he’s angry, he’s torn between an innate hatred, and the desire and emotion he feels for her. His dragon wants to rip her to shreds, but Darius knows his human side would protect her with his life – something he might just have to do.

I love this series. Susannah Scott has conjured a world alongside our own filled with mystery, myth, treachery, fire and ice, and extreme loyalty. In DRAGON HER BACK, we experience all of it and more. Susannah’s imagination gives us action, power hungry opponents, modern-day women’s issues, and angst with a medieval sense of constraint and male dominance. To learn of Mei’s fate if she is to return to her former life is more than any fan of the Las Vegas Dragons wants for her and we feel her overpowering need to run, and her desire for Darius to come with her. In the end, we can only hope that the Alec, the Dragon King, will be wise, fair, and a loyal friend.

Mei and Darius’s story is one that I know many fans of the Las Vegas Dragons have been waiting for since we first met the dragons in LUCK OF THE DRAGON, and Susannah has not failed us. DRAGON HER BACK is by the far the best of the series so far. I loved the first two and didn’t think she could surpass Lucy and Alec’s story at all, but she has. DRAGON HER BACK is action-packed, edge of the seat imaginative, and filled with anxious moments and steamy love scenes between these two dragonshifters. Darius may be an ice dragon but there’s nothing icy about him. He’s one hot dragon man and Mei is his perfect match with her tough, cool as ice exterior, and her fiery, don’t take crap off anyone attitude – especially off Darius.

I highly recommend DRAGON HER BACK, book three in the Las Vegas Dragons series by Susannah Scott to everyone who loves good romance. I mean everyone! If you don’t think you’re into dragonshifters, you might just be surprised at how hooked on her amazing characters you’ll get if you try them out. Susannah takes us on an imaginative, action-packed thrill ride that will have you turning the pages fast to keep up. It’s that good!

Happy Reading Everyone!
