‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ Heads to Toonami

Earlier today, Toonami posted on tumblr that Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be replacing Eureka 7 on August 17th. According to them, they will not be showing all the episodes, and they will “generally run in order.”

On August 17th, Eureka 7 will be going away, never to return. We’ll be sorry to see it go. Replacing it will be STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, which we’re very happy about because we always felt it was a Toonami show. FYI: We’ll be skipping some of the non-continuity (read: Jar Jar) eps, but they’ll generally run in order. AMERICAN CARTOONS BELONG ON TOONAMI!  xoxoxoxo -Toonami

They also commented that we should get a new schedule in the next few weeks and that there are no current plans for them airing the bonus content, but they did say “we’ll see.” Further note, they are planning on airing four seasons and not the entire five, at least not yet.

Toonami is Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim block of programming which runs later at night and is geared toward adult audiences. For Clone Wars fans, this will give you another shot at seeing them on tv, and perhaps we’ll get to see some of the cut out parts (like Ventress kissing the clone before killing him and the beheading of the Black Sun vigos).
