Annie Stoll’s “Sabine My Rebel Sketchbook” Countdown

Studio Fun will be releasing the highly anticipated children’s book Sabine My Rebel Sketchbook by Daniel Wallace on February 3, 2015. Artist Annie Stoll, the illustrator behind the sketchbook, is currently counting down until its debut next month with a brand new watercolor sketch every day. At the end of each week, she selects a winner from those who retweeted or reblogged her art and awards them with a week’s worth of Star Wars Rebels sketches.

“I absolutely LOVE Star Wars Rebels,” she wrote over at her art blog, “and Sabine is such a fantastic character! Not only is she a strong female character, she’s an independent artist and free-thinker! Sabine is constantly observing and challenging her world. We can all certainly learn a lot from her! I was really hoping there would be more merch for Sabine and Hera, but it looks like this book is going to be one of the first major Sabine-focused items. Full Disclosure, I don’t get paid for any books sold (as an Illustrator I was paid a flat fee), but I feel very passionate about showing support for excellent strong female characters.”

To read more about the countdown visit and follow her Tumblr blog and Twitter.
