According to Preston & Child's Facebook page, this is a stand-alone Pendergast novel, perfect for new readers, as well as old fans (like myself) who need to catch up. If you've never had the pleasure, then I can't recommend Agent Pendergast's adventures highly enough. Since I just got my hands on the ARC yesterday, look for my review coming soon!
